7th-9th grade girls: If you want to request musical suggestions for PE on Wednesday, see Susan to day or tomorrow. We will be having "Susan's Dance Party" for PE on Wednesday in the Multi-Purpose Room. My music or yours? Volunteer Opportunity: Want to make a difference in the lives of millions of men and women? On April 10 & 11, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer occurs. Carl is getting together a group of people interested in forming a cheering station provided with all of its accoutrements such as pom-poms, posters, kazoos, t-shirts, etc. See Carl to help bring an end to Breast Cancer and get involved; the sign-up sheet is on the library door. Mauricio, Johnathan, Lauren and Tracy will be selling T-shirts this week (during Creativity Week). They're a part of a clothing line called "Gravity." We'll be selling fitted shirts for girls as well as regular T-shirts. Orders will be taken today thirty minutes into lunch. We'll have a table set up so people can come and look at the designs. Also become a fan on Facebook for Gravity Clothing Line. Come see any of the four seniors if you have any question. Shirts will be starting at $12. Found: USB key chain with red tag saying Richards/Carlberg. See Carl if yours. Upper School Girls: The Upper School Girls’ Lounge is a disaster zone. People are throwing their belongings anywhere they please, leaving food out for someone else to pick up, and forgetting many clothing items that are now sitting in a pile in the closet. We have had ants in the past, and left out food will only attract more. There should never be food in the girls’ lounges. Next week, I am going to take all the clothes left by students to GoodWill. You have one week to claim your items. Please be more respectful of your school, and do not leave your space in such disarray. ~Liz The Senior Media Literacy class will be selling elote (Mexican-style corn in a cup), chicharrones, and aguas frescas in the gym store during Creativity Week. We will be selling from 12:00-12:30 p.m. and 3:20- 3:30 p.m. Come support the Refresqueria Chinquapin! Lost: Jassiel of the 8th grade lost a very important USB with his project on it. It is transparent, orange and black, and it flips. If you have seen it, please return it to Carl or Jassiel ASAP.
Ongoing Announcements Lunch Procedure: The school gets government funding for the breakfast/lunch program based on the number of kids who go through the line. If you don't get counted in the line, we don't get the funding. It is very important that all students go through the lunch line and take the appropriate items. You will be counted as you go through, and we will be contacting you if your name is consistently off the list.
