Wireless scheme
Chinquapin has five main access points located around campus:
Chinquapin1 - fan room
Chinquapin2 - upper school dorm
Chinquapin3 - office
Chinquapin4 - classroom south
Chinquapin5 - tech room
In general, the laptops will default to Chinquapin1. The laptops must be connected to the network in order to function properly! If your cursor is spinning, then you most likely have a wireless connecton problem.
Solving Log-in and Wireless Connection Problems
If you are unable to log in to your laptop, you have likely lost your wireless network connection. To solve this problem, log in as username "local" and password "local" and follow the steps below.
If your wireless icon is all gray (see Figure 1), then you need to choose a network (Figure 2). If the computer asks for a keychain password, enter "local" (Figure 3).

Often times wireless access problems can be solved by reseting the wireless card. Under the wireless menu (Figure 2), click "Turn Airport Off" and then return to the menu and click "Turn Airport On".
